Dermal Filler

Enhances features, restores hydration, and increases volume to give a natural looking, more youthful and refreshed appearance.

About The Treatment

As we age, we lose hydration in the skin along with facial fat reduction. We lose important collagen and elastin in the skin which affects the natural elasticity and overall plumpness.

With this loss of volume and elasticity, wrinkles and folds begin to form and the skin can begin to sag. Dermal fillers can be used to treat static lines (which remain on the face even when relaxed) and for facial contouring.

They contain hyaluronic acid, which can restore hydration and add volume to give a natural looking, more youthful and refreshed appearance. Essentially, dermal fillers work in place of diminished fat, collagen and elastin. Strategically placed fillers can very subtly and naturally help to banish the things about your face that bother you.

Before any treatment can be suggested, you will require a consultation to ascertain your concerns, medical history and suitable treatments.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the treatment involve?
Filler is injected into the skin where it smooths out fine lines and wrinkles and plumps out areas which have lost volume.

Does it hurt?
We will apply a topical numbing cream to the target area to help reduce pain as much as possible - talk to your practitioner about pain management options if you’re concerned.

Are there any side effects?
There may be mild swelling which usually subsides after about 20 minutes or so. Occasionally bruising occurs.

Is the treatment safe?

Dermal fillers have been used as an injectable cosmetic treatment for over two decades with an excellent safety record. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a substance that occurs naturally in the skin cells, over time it is broken down by normal biological processes and removed from the body. At VB Aesthetics, our nurse practitioners Vicki, Suzanne and Lucy are fully trained and qualified.

Why do I need a review?
We offer all our patients a free two week follow-up appointment to assess the effect of treatment and administer any top up treatments if necessary.

Will I have to change my plans for the day?
We recommend you avoid alcohol, heat, and taking any strenuous exercise for a day after treatment, as well as having any other facial treatments.

How often will I need treatments?
This largely depends on the structure of the skin, lifestyle and age of each patient. You can have additional touch-up treatments any time after your first treatment, follow-up treatments are recommended from 6 months.

How much does it cost?
The cost of dermal filler starts from £160 - £200.
The exact cost depends on the type of dermal filler, the amount required, and the areas of the face you wish to be treated. This will be determined at your c
onsultation.

Lip Augmentation

Consultation 45 Minutes, Treatment 45 Minutes

Some of us naturally have thin lips, but the size of our lips also reduces with age. Subtle improvements can make a big difference to the way we feel about them.

Lip Fillers are a discreet way to restore volume, hydration, structure, and balance to the lips, adding shape and volume to the lips by injecting dermal filler along the border and into the body of the lip.

Dermal filler can be used to enhance the size of the lip but it can also be used to create better symmetry, definition, and improve the overall shape of the lips. The treatment will be tailored around your specific needs and desired outcome.

Lip Fillers will immediately add volume, giving instant results which can last three to six months, and in some cases longer.

Lip Botox Injection

Lip Augmentation starts at £160.
