Polynucleotides

Polynucleotide-based injectable that aims to improve elasticity, boost collagen production and promote skin regeneration.

About The Treatment

Plenhyage is a polynucleotide-based injectable that aims to improve elasticity, boost collagen production and promote skin regeneration.

Polynucleotides are DNA-based biostimulators - not fillers - which provide instant and lasting results, without altering your facial features.

Plenhyage can be used for the face, neck and décolletage, and is excellent for the under eye area - improving the appearance of hollowness, darkness or line and wrinkles under the eye.

Many patients are unsuitable for tear trough filler for a variety of reasons. Plenhyage provides an amazing alternative that is suited to nearly all patients.

Before any treatment can be suggested, you will require a consultation to ascertain your concerns, medical history and suitable treatments. Treatment can be carried out same-day.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the treatment involve?
Polynucleotides are injected into the skin at pre-determined sites.

Does it hurt?
Some patients experience mild stinging during the treatment, but we can use a numbing cream if required - talk to your practitioner about pain management options if you’re concerned.

Are there any side effects?
There may be mild swelling or redness which usually subsides after about 20 minutes or so. Occasionally bruising occurs.

Is the treatment safe?

Plenhyage has an excellent safety record. At VB Aesthetics, our nurse practitioners Vicki, Suzanne and Lucy are fully trained and qualified.

When will I see results?

Skin quality will improve gradually as the tissues regenerate. You’ll definitely notice the difference after 2-4 weeks, but things will continue to improve! Full results can be expected about 3 months after treatment.

Are Polynucleotides different to dermal filler?

Dermal fillers add volume to the skin and the results are immediate. Polynucleotides are different, in that they stimulate regeneration at the cellular level so it takes time to be seen, but the volume achieved over time can be equal to that of fillers. Polynucleotides also stimulate your skin to improve texture and tone, allowing for a natural glow.

Will I have to change my plans for the day?
We recommend you avoid alcohol, heat, and taking any strenuous exercise for a day after treatment, as well as having any other facial treatments.

How many treatments will I need?
This We recommend a course of 3-4 treatments, with 3-4 weeks in between. Maintenance sessions are suggested every 6-9 months.

How much does it cost?
One session of polynucelotide treatment costs £280.
3-4 sessions are recommended for the best results.
