Skin boosters are an injectable treatment delivering a unique formula of hyaluronic acid, amino acids, vitamins and minerals directly into the dermis, a level that can't be reached by topical skincare products. This encourages the body to boost natural production of collagen and elastin - the main components in the skin that give it its structure, tone and glow.

Designed to restore hydration, improve tissue quality, diminish fine lines, naturally plump and sooth skin, improve skin laxity, quality and overall skin health for tighter, vibrant, healthier skin that is more contoured and refined.

What does the treatment involve?
The treatment consists of multiple very fine injections into the chosen area of skin in order to improve skin quality and deliver a healthy glow.

Does it hurt?
The injections are relatively painless as they are performed using a very fine needle. A topical anaesthetic can be applied beforehand.

Are there any side effects?
There may be redness which usually subsides after about 20 minutes or so. Occasionally bruising occurs.

Is the treatment safe?

Skin boosters have undergone the most rigorous safety checks. The contain ingredients which have been heavily researched and are proven to be both highly effective and safe. At VB Aesthetics, our nurse practitioners Vicki, Suzanne and Lucy are fully trained and qualified.

Will I have to change my plans for the day?
We recommend you avoid taking any strenuous exercise for a day after treatment, as well as having any other facial treatments.

How many treatments will I need?
A course of three sessions is recommended for the best results, 3 weeks apart. Your body will gradually break down the skin boosters over the course of several months. Maintenance treatments are recommended approximately every 6 months.
